Partial Areas

PKSubmit_PartialAreas

Enter how many partial areas to use in the No. of Partial Areas field.

Enter the StartTime and EndTime for each profile’s partial area in the table.

If Tau values were entered in the Dosing step, the start and end time columns are automatically filled in appropriately in the partial areas table.

If the dataset includes interval data, press the Add Clr Areas button to have PK Submit find, for each urine collection occasion (Day or Visit), the StartTime (>=0) of the first urine interval, and the EndTime of the last urine interval and insert these times on the corresponding plasma collection occasion for Partial Areas.

Press Add AUC_TAU Day 1 to calculate AUC_TAU for Day 1 (single dose).

When performing multiple dose studies, a comparison of the AUCtau for Day 1 to the other days is desired. However, Day 1 is typically a single dose – not steady state. The Add AUC_TAU Day 1 option creates a partial area for Day 1 based on the Tau entered for the other days in the study.

Note:    Tau for day one must be blank in the Dosing page, but specified for all other days in the profile for a subject.

When selected, the Start and End Times are automatically filled based on dosing information entered in the Dosing page. The Label column will show AUC_TAU for Day 1 partial areas. This label is not editable because it is used when determining what information goes into the final output.

If Tau is not unique within a profile, a warning message is presented and AUC_TAU for Day 1 will not be created for that profile.

Press the OK button.
