Calculate Dose Normalized Concentration tab
In the Calculate Dose Normalized Concentration tab, select the Dose Column and Concentration Column (e.g., PKConcentration) from their respective pull-down menus.
Press the Calculate Dose Normalized Concentration button.
A column, with the prefix “DN” followed by the concentration column name (e.g., DNPKConcentration), is appended to the table. It contains the concentration values, from the selected concentration column, normalized by the dose values from the selected dose column. Any blank cells in the “DN” column are BLQs.
Other calculations can be performed in this window, such as normalization of body weight.
Note: Currently, PK Submit does not support weight normalized dose for urine amount calculations. However, to utilize weight normalized dose: (1) convert the dose values by multiplying by the weight, (2) make sure that the actual Dose Amount column (mg) is carried over so it can be used in the NCA, and (3) remove the ‘kg’ from the units.
It is also possible to perform more than one dose normalization calculation by simply changing the Dose Column or Concentration Column selection, (Note that, if the Dose Column is changed, then the Concentration Column must also be switched, the same concentration column cannot be reused).
