The PSO setup page is only available when PSO is selected as the Algorithm in the General page.
Select the PSO setup link in the left list.
To adjust the PSO options, uncheck the Use default pyDarwin PSO options box.
In the Particle movement in the same direction field, enter the particle coordination movement as it relates to the previous velocity.
In the Particle movement to its own best known position field, enter the particle coordination movement as it relates to its own best known position.
In the Particle movement to the overall best known position field, enter the particle coordination movement as it relates to current best known position across all particles.
In the Number of neighbors a particle interacts with field, enter the number of neighbors that any particle interacts with to determine the social component of the velocity of the next step.
In the Minkowski p-norm field, enter 1 to use the sum-of-absolute-values or 2 to use the Euclidean distance.
In the Number of iterations to determine convergence field, enter the number of iterations to use in determining whether the optimization has converged.
