The GA setup page is only available when GA is selected as the Algorithm in the General page.
To adjust the GA options, uncheck the Use default pyDarwin GA options box.
With the Use default box unchecked, type the new values.
The Niche penalty helps maintain diversity of models, avoiding premature convergence of the search by penalizing when models are too similar to other models in the current generation. (This is the same as the niche radius setting on the Penalties page and modifying the value will overwrite the value entered on the Penalties page.)
