Executing a third-party tool object

Note:    SigmaPlot Shell objects cannot execute successfully in Phoenix 8.6. Designed to work with 32-bit SigmaPlot, SigmaPlot Shell objects will fail validation since Phoenix is only 64-bit. However, you can still add, open, modify, and save these objects.

Click icon_execute (Execute icon).

Some objects in a workflow, when selected and executed as the last object in a chain, will automatically re-runs any necessary objects earlier in the workflow. This is not true for the SigmaPlot object. Either the workflow or the individual objects must be executed to obtain the current source data for the SigmaPlot object.

Note:    Executing a SigmaPlot script that attempts to write results to a non-existent folder can result in SigmaPlot getting 'stuck' in a state where the only way to close the application is to kill it with Window’s task manager. Check the output folder names in the export statements of the scripts to confirm you are writing to an existing directory.
