This is a feature that allows updating of a selected application and its sequence in order to introduce additional metadata that is not included in the eCTD sequence (for example, an internal set of tracking numbers and dates or if, for some reason, an enx does not open for a user).
Update is mainly used by the US FDA to augment a sponsor’s metadata with its own.
To update an application:
Select the application to be updated.
Click Update.
An Update Started message will appear on the right, unless Redirect to Status has been selected from the Configuration Page.
Notes:
• Because the Update action occurs at the application level, selecting a sequence is not necessary.
• Update does not re-load modified sequences.
