The final steps in preparing the sequence are publishing and validation:

• Publishing creates the physical components necessary to deliver a sequence to an agency, such as the XML backbone, Study Tagging Files, etc.

• Validation performs a check of the sequence against its specific region’s technical requirements. Although PUBLISH will prevent you from creating many error conditions, there may still be unresolved errors in your sequences such as placeholder file references that have not been replaced with actual files, broken hyperlinks and a variety of other conditions.

Please note that most review steps can be performed prior to publishing if desired, as the sequence Table of Contents and files will be available to reviewers using GlobalSubmit PUBLISH or REVIEW even if final publishing and validation have not yet taken place.
